The Saarinen Tulip Table is one of the most popular items in the Eero Saarinen furniture range. Created in 1957, the beautiful Saarinen Table envelopes the thought and theory behind one of the 20th century's great architects. Constructed of cast aluminum, the Saarinen table flows from top to bottom and from side to side in a fluid exchange of lines.  

started designing furniture in his teens, but it wasn't until he won first place in 1940 in the Museum of Modern Art's Organic Design in Home Furnishings that he would be seen as a serious industrial designer.  Though the plywood chair that he designed with Charles Eames for the competition was never put into production, it did allow for him further his career in furniture design.

Close attention is paid to the workmanship of the stone and base, which creates a modern classic table meant to last for years. The Saarinen table base is available in matte white or black, glossy white or black, or matte silver. The Saarinen Table top is available in a wide variety of stones and laminates, including the ever-popular white Arabescato and black Marquina.  The base is treated with a clear protective finish to resist scratches, stains, and scuffs. Saarinen Table stone tops are protected with a natural wax finish.
