Created in 1957, the beautiful Saarinen Table envelopes the thought and theory behind one of the 20th century's great architects. Constructed of cast aluminum, the Saarinen table flows from top to bottom and from side to side in a fluid exchange of lines.
started designing furniture in his teens, but it wasn't until he won first place in 1940 in the Museum of Modern Art's Organic Design in Home Furnishings that he would be seen as a serious industrial designer. Though the plywood chair that he designed with Charles Eames for the competition was never put into production, it did allow for him further his career in furniture design.

The base is treated with a clear protective finish to resist scratches, stains, and scuffs. Saarinen Table stone tops are protected with a natural wax finish.
